Suburban House is the only sit down deli style restaurant in the Baltimore area, and has been in business for over 30 years under the ownership of Joe Stowe and Mark Horowitz. Their menu features many old style delicatessen favorites like matzo ball soup, fresh corned beef, brisket, pastrami, blintzes, potato pancakes and many other Jewish style favorites. In July 2009, they had a devastating fire at their original location in Pikesville. Sadly, they were out of business for exactly a year. In July 2010, they re-opened in a completely remodeled new restaurant a few blocks from their original location. Suburban House is the place to meet your friends, old and new, to enjoy your favorites like homemade coddies, potato pancakes, chicken in the pot, the largest selection of smoked fishes in the area, and new foods such as wraps and panini sandwiches with a large variety of salads.
